Hersheypark’s ride rating systems uses a series of candy brands to determine who can ride which rides.
A huge time saver for parents of kids that don’t like to stand still is to take them to Hospitality Services or to the height station in Carrousel Circle (not always open) to get a wristband showing what candy brand height they are. This wristband saves you tons of time over having each ride attendant having to use the measuring stick on your child. My son (the little guy above) refuses to stand still and once held up The Red Baron for nearly ten minutes as the attendant fought to make sure he was the correct height. We never let him ride now without getting a wristband first.
The neat thing is those wristbands make good souvenirs for scrapbooks and memory boxes. They are durable enough to be able to be sown to backpacks as well as a reminder of the trip.
